Daily Homily, Tuesday August 13

August 13, 2013

Our children: I think of my nieces and nephews, you may think of your own or your children and grandchildren. When they are young, they trust us, they are dependent on us, the learn from us, they want to be near us. We feed them, care for them, nourish them, protect them, teach them, and sometimes have to correct and discipline them. We want the best for them, we want them to succeed, we want them to be happy.

“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.”

Can I become more and more each day a child of God  – trusting, loving, learning, following?  After all, he is our Father who loves, feeds, protects, nourishes, and instructs. And he wants only to bring us to Himself.
